Anyone got any methods how to keep the mind free from negativity?
AwakenYaMind good old fashioned meditation- whatever suits you.. doesn't have to be cross-legged yogi style.. your intention should be to clear your mind of any thought at all (focusing on deep breathing will help).. think about clensing your consciousness- like taking a bath when dirty, meditation helps clense the conscious mind and ego.. negativity exists and it is a great learning tool for us.. i actually was thinking about this idea the other day about "mental alchemy" in which you accept the negativity for what it is (living in creation of duality; positive/negative)... for example, turning that negative feeling inside us into a positive outcome.. we can be absorbed at times with negative energy too- ride the wave with your soul.. don't fight the current and let it over-ride you.. let that energy work for you in a positive manner.. these are ideas that work for me and maybe they could help you to noe joe

noe joe Wow, thanks! The info certainly helps. Why is it that I always get angry confronting dark energies - I mean I really can't help it.

noe joe "Your intention should be to clear your mind of any thought at all" this really helps, whenever a need emerged in me to interpret a situation that occurred, I try to balance and focus, stopping the interpretation process. And this really helps me to stay balanced! Does it happen also to you encountering negatively polarised people in your workplace, while shopping etc.?

AwakenYaMind yea, right on! that's great you're conscientious of balancing.. i work in a busy restaurant with demanding customers.. i'm usually in a meditative mind state, so i tend to just laugh in the face of negativity... the ego is the essence that gives rise to those negative feelings creeping up in tight situations.. if i do let things get to me, i don't get down on myself- we're all human and i see it as a learning tool to re-evaluate my actions/feelings/thoughts in those situations and improve on it for future circumstances..

[deleted user] I can recommend you reading Eckhart Tolle´s book "Now", he describes perfectly in my opinion to do it. Become aware of it, accepting and releasing it with universal great love.
